Is Travis Ford Massachusetts-bound?

Courier-Journal:
Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball coach Travis Ford is the leading candidate for the vacancy at Massachusetts, according to a report in The Boston Globe.

The newspaper, citing unnamed sources at UMass and Eastern Kentucky, reported that Ford "could close a deal this week but has told UMass officials that he wanted to see how the coaching landscape changes."

Ford didn't return messages left by The Courier-Journal at his office and on his cell phone. The Globe quoted him as saying, "I had talked to them (UMass officials), and we had a good discussion, and I'm just waiting to see what happens."[...]

Ford captured the attention of the college basketball world by guiding the Colonels (22-9) to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 26 years. They gave his alma mater, Kentucky, a battle before losing 72-64 in the first round.

In five seasons at Eastern he has a record of 61-80. This season, his first with a winning record, the Colonels set a school mark for victories and won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Though Ford has no direct ties to Massachusetts, he played at Kentucky under Rick Pitino, a UMass alumnus.
I ask that Travis stay in the state. I'd like to get him on as a guest on the show.
