And Jim Langevin is out!

Langevin will run for re-election.This paves the way for either Senator Matt Brown or Senator Patrick Kennedy to become realities.
U.S. Rep. Jim Langevin will not run for U.S. Senate in 2006.

The Democrat was considering a run for the seat now held by Sen. Lincoln Chafee.

A Brown University poll in February indicated that Langevin could have beaten Chafee, a Republican.

Chafee has confirmed he will seek re-election in 2006. Rhode Island Secretary of State Matt Brown has already begun his campaign for the seat.
How does Senator Kennedy and Senator Kennedy sound? This will wreck havoc for the Senate's Presiding Officer and the Senate in general.

Chair: The Chair recognizes Senator Kennedy
(E. Kennedy rises to the podium)
TK: Thank you, Mr. President. Allow me...
Chair: Not you Ted, your son.
PK: Thank you Mr. President. First, apologies to my father for messing up the roll call and all those other fun things...
BLACKOUT
