I formally endorse Congressman Sherrod Brown for Senate in 2006 in what will be a very competitive race in Ohio.
While Paul Hackett is an equally impressive candidate, Brown does offer the experience of working in Washington. He was a leader in the efforts to prevent NAFTA and CAFTA from becoming law. The American Public Health Association, the nation’s largest public health organization, presented him with the Distinguished Public Health Legislator of the Year award in 2002.
While the decision will be left to the voters of Ohio during the 2006 primary voters, I formally offer my endorsement of Sherrod Brown for Senate in 2006.
