Friday morning at the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance, State Treasurer Jonathan Miller and Jefferson County Attorney Irv Maze filed their Letter of Intent to run as a Democratic slate for Governor and Lt. Governor.
“We are gratified and, frankly, excited by the enthusiastic response for our practical approach to bring much needed change to our state government,” stated Miller after filing. He added, “People are questioning the misplaced priorities and lack of results in a state government where arguments over politics and ideology seem to be more important than simply solving problems to improve the lives of Kentucky families. We are running to put the government back to work for the people of Kentucky – for a change.”
Maze, a former County Commissioner recently elected to his third term as County Attorney, added, “Jonathan and I are both experienced problem-solvers who believe our government must be accountable to the people it serves. Our administration won't need on the job training to do what's right for Kentucky. We offer proven leadership.”
