Petition gathers opposition to Fischer's negative tactics LOUISVILLE – Bruce Lunsford's Campaign for Change today released an online petition asking Kentuckians from across the Commonwealth that calls for an end to the false, negative, personal attacks from Greg Fischer and his campaign. The petition is based on a letter which was sent to Greg Fischer last Thursday by Congressman John Yarmuth, Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo, Attorney General Jack Conway, and State Auditor Crit Luallen.
Campaign for Change distributes online petition for signatures
The petition seeks signatures from Kentuckians who want elections focused on issues and ideas that will improve their lives rather than on negative, misleading personal attacks like the ones Greg Fischer has continued to level at fellow Democrat Bruce Lunsford.
You can view a copy of the petition and add your own signature to the growing list of those disappointed in Greg Fischer's divisive tactics, by clicking here.
Newspapers, Democratic leaders, and activists have pointed out that Fischer's attacks only serve to support Mitch McConnell's re-election.
"Against the will of Democratic leaders and the people of the Commonwealth, Greg Fischer continues to play right into Mitch McConnell's hands with these shameless personal attacks," Lunsford spokesperson Allison Haley said. "If Fischer insists on continuing to help Mitch McConnell, we will be forced to treat him like Mitch McConnell. But we would much rather focus on positive solutions for change in Washington."
