Jodie Meeks sets new Kentucky basketball record

Jodie Meeks broke a 39 year old record set by Dan Issel (21 FG-31 FGA, 7 FT-7 FTA, 19 Rebounds, 53 points) on February 7, 1970 when the Wildcats played the Mississippi Rebels.

Tonight, against the rival Tennessee Volunteers in Tennessee's Thompson-Boling Arena, Jodie Meeks broke Issel's record with 54 points.

Meeks also broke his joint-record of 9 three-pointers made shared with Tony Delk. Tonight, Meeks had 10 three-pointers made.
