Listen, I'm not saying it was right or wrong to air that ad but the facts are facts: Rand Paul has never denied doing what he has been alleged to have done. In watching last night's debate, the origainal ad, and the response ad, I did not see where Jack Conway attacked Rand Paul's religious beliefs. What I did see was Jack Conway legitimately attacking what Rand Paul did while in college.
How is it any different than when reporters asked then-Governor Bill Clinton, a candidate for president at the time, if he ever inhaled or smoked pot?
To the critics of this ad, I ask that question: Would you have criticized reporters that asked such a thing to Clinton at the time? It's a fair question.
If Rand Paul refuses to debate Jack Conway next week, it's because Rand Paul is a chicken and a coward.
