Go Cards! Chris Burke was OUT!

Another blown call. Luckily, no players scored on it.
Yadier Molina threw to Albert Pujols. Pujols picked off Chris Burke. The 1B umpire, Phil Cuzzi, clearly blew the call.

Again, St. Louis lost a key player. Reggie Sanders did not play due to a neck injury, and now Abraham Nunez is out with a knee injury with thanks to Jason Lane.

The Cards are down in the series 2-1 right now. I have faith that St. Louis can and will win this series and the World Series. If they don't do it for themselves, then do it for the fans that want a final series win in Bush Stadium. Do it for the late Jack Buck and Darryl Kile. Do it for the love of the game.

This comes from Ryan at Cardinals Diaspora, a site that has just been blogrolled. It is refreshing to read after such a down night. I'm a Red Sox fan and a Cardinal fan, but a Cardinal fan first--so I've already been let down by one team thanks to a team in Chicago. I have faith in St. Louis that we will win the World Series this year.

Tomorrow, I suspect there will lots of doom and gloom talk, some probably from by fellow Cards bloggers. Keep Believing. The series is tied 1-1, the Astros have to beat us three more times, only one of which will feature Oswalt, and I suspect if we see him again things will be a little different. We all knew going in this wasn't going to be a sweep, but rather a hard fought, but winnable, series. It remains so.

Come on, St. Louis, don't let us down. Suppan starts tomorrow night. He's not our best pitcher but he's not our worst, either. I have faith in our offense and defense. We can tie the series up at 2 a piece.
