Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh spoke to about 40 New Hampshire voters and elected officials in Keene today, as a potential rival in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary drew a huge crowd on the Seacoast.
Bayh said he won't make a final decision to run for president without consulting his family. But he filed papers a week ago to form an exploratory committee and his New Hampshire supporters say he's committed to running.
Bayh spoke at state Sen. Molly Kelly's house about government spending, America's dependence on foreign oil and education funding.
He said he has a positive feeling about New Hampshire, where voters want more unity and less polarization in Washington.
