Astros - Braves thread

Will this game ever end? Rocket is now in as a reliever and is on deck.

Discuss. The game started at roughly 1 eastern and it's now a bit past 6 PM.

Last year, when the Red Sox played the Yankees, the length was 5:49, and that was only 14 innings!

This game will rank in the top 10 for sure, and will set the new record if it doesn't end soon.

Sixteen (16) innings ties the postseason record for most innings played in a postseason game. They have now broken that record.

They set the new record with a total playing time of 5:50. The previous NLDS record was last set by the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants in 2000 during the NLDS. That length was 5:22. At this rate, this is going to be the longest playoff game ever in postseason history with regards to innings played during a game. They even broke the record set by the Red Sox and Yankees during the ALCS last year.

13 pitchers used, and 553 pitches.

Houston has used 23 players. The Braves have used 19 players.

Louisville native Chris Burke hit a game-winning walk off home run. Houston, we're ready for you and we will win again during the NLCS.

Chris, Louisville is proud of you but I'm a Cardinals fan.
