The weekend begins...

Paul McCartney's music will awaken those in the space station over the weekend. It sounds impressive as it is.
"I was extremely proud to find out that one of my songs was played for the crew of Discovery this summer," McCartney said. "In our concert we hope to repay the favor." McCartney is nearing the end of his 11-week "US" tour.
Dan Seals is a canidate for Congress. He used to work for Senator Joseph Lieberman as a legislative aide.
Seals, a former legislative aide to U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., said he's running for Congress because he "thinks the county is moving in the wrong direction" and needs a change.

"I think we need to get out of Iraq," Seals said. "I think we need to reduce the deficit. I think we need to focus on expanding health care for the uninsured. I don't think Mark Kirk is doing anything to get this country back on track."

Smith, an attorney who works in Chicago, said he welcomes the primary competition.

No other candidates have yet declared but other candidates said to be considering a run are attorney Clint Krislov of Wilmette; Jay Footlik, a former aide to President Clinton; and Angelo Kyle, a Lake County Board member from Waukegan.
I've met Jay Footlik and I think it is awesome that he is considering a run.

It appears that Steve Bouchard has left All America PAC according to a report on PoliticsNH.com.
An e-mail to board members of Sen. Evan Bayh's All America PAC said that Manchester native Steve Bouchard, the PAC Executive Director, was leaving "explore other opportunities". Hotline on Call has a report.
"The end of the year brings changes as well. Steve Bouchard, our executive director, will be leaving us in December to explore other opportunities. Steve has given the PAC a great start. I am extremely grateful for the numerous contributions he has made to our cause. Under his leadership, the All America PAC has been transformed into one of the leading fundraising, organizing and candidate support organizations in the country. While Steve may no longer be the PAC's executive director next year, I know that our friendship and my admiration of him will continue. I hope we will have the opportunity to work together in the very near future. I wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
Previously Bouchard was the NH Director for the Bob Graham and Wesley Clark presidential campaigns.
Some good news. John Lennon's music will not be available on iTunes. Instead, you can BUY the CD.

Fletcher is still not cooperating. Why will he not turn over information from HIS administration?!?

For the first time since 1970 when Gibson won, the Cardinals have a Cy Young recipient. Chris Carpenter picked up 19 first-place votes (132 points) to win the National League Cy Young award. Mazel Tov, Chris!

Wisconsin Democratic Party State Chairman Joe Wineke has requested that President George Bush come to Wisconsin next year to campaign for the Republicans.
With many of your top advisors under investigation and facing indictment – and your support plummeting around the nation – I think it is a testament to your dedication to electing Republicans that you traveled on their behalf in the days before yesterday’s elections, visiting Virginia the day before the election in an unsuccessful effort to elect a Republican governor in a southern state that just a year ago you won by eight percentage points.

In that vein, I would like to extend an invitation for you to visit Wisconsin on behalf of Republicans the day before our general election on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.

Whether it is because of the record deficit amassed by you and your Republican allies in the Congress such as Wisconsin’s Mark Green … or the bungling of the war in Iraq … or the cloud of scandal that has settled over the top levels of your Administration, voters around the country are making Republicans pay the price.

In addition to the big win for Democrats in Virginia last night:

·Democrats also won the Governor’s Office in New Jersey after your performance and agenda were linked to the Republican candidate

·Voters rejected all four of Republican Governor Schwarzenegger’s ballot initiatives

·Voters dumped eight Republican school board members in rural Dover, Pennsylvania, who supported your "intelligent design" as a teaching tool in public schools. They were replaced with solid Democrats.

It is my guess that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Democrats are offering a better vision to protect freedom, families, and fairness. We are energized and working hard to re-elect our incumbent Governor Jim Doyle and Democrats up and down the ticket.

Again, let me extend a personal invitation to come to our great Badger State. You visited us a number of times last year – particularly to promise to extend the MILC program which helps our great dairy farmers.

Your rubber stamp ally Mark Green traveled with you to promise MILC would continue in the years to come, which so far is not the case. Some might call that a lie.

But I guess it will be up to the voters here in Wisconsin to reject Green and his say-one-thing-and-do-another Washington values.

Early November can be a beautiful time of the year in Wisconsin. Again, I extend an invitation for you to come and rally our troops, as well as the independent voters who are now steadfast in their opposition to you.

Come to Wisconsin. A blue state...since ’88.
Nicely said, now will KDP Chairman Jerry Lundergan send a similar letter?
