I went to State Treasurer Jonathan Miller's book signing earlier tonight and it may not have been the turnout I would have thought it would have been but it was a good one nonetheless. For someone like him, it's amazing how at 39 that he gets mistaken for someone around 25. Anyway, his book is great and you should buy it. If you need another reason why, ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY.

Oh, and for what's it's worth, he gets his national news from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and his local news from blogs like Bluegrass Report.

For that matter alone, I admit that while I get a fair share of news while checking the Yahoo headlines, I do get my news from Jon Stewart.

NBC now has a first look deal with theater companies in Chicago like Second City.

The two-year pact will give the studio access to all Second City shows and talent as well as the company's library for the development of comedy content for television and different digital platforms.

"We look at it as a great resource of talent and ideas that we can share back and forth," NBC Uni TV president Angela Bromstad said. "It's another way for us to work with creative people and talent, cultivating and developing talent as early as possible."

Under the deal, any of the writers at NBC Uni TV can go to any of the Second City theaters in Chicago, Las Vegas, Detroit, Denver and Toronto to see performers they might be interested in developing for, bring a script they've written or see characters they've created workshopped there.

As part of the deal, Chicago-based Second City will beef up its presence in Los Angeles, expanding its training center and hiring a development executive.
