Kentucky guard Jodie Meeks has decided to bypass his final season in college and will remain in the NBA Draft.Like many Kentucky fans, I wish him the best of luck in the NBA but wish he could have come back for his senior year to play for the Kentucky Wildcats.
According to sources close to the situation, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound guard made the decision on Monday morning – hours prior to the deadline for underclassmen to withdraw from the June 25 NBA Draft.
Meeks’ return would have given Kentucky another major piece to a team that is capable of competing for the national title this season.
Meeks averaged 23.7 points last season for Billy Gillispie.
