It's Oaks Day

I'll preview the races later today but anyway, here goes for now.

The St. Louis Cardinals started out 18-8 in 1948 as well. On Tuesday, Reggie Sanders hit his 1,500th hit as well as 300th double.

Not good news. A State Senator, Johnny Ray Turner, has been indicted on counts of mail fraud. We don't need any bad news for Democrats.

Senator Evan Bayh was in Ohio yesterday.
He says some of the people in the audience thought this was the beginning of a Presidential campaign. Some of those people came from Indiana.

The senator, as you might expect, made no mention of any higher ambitions.

The occasion was the annual fundraising dinner for the Butler County Democratic Party in Hamilton, Ohio. Organizers say they always seek the biggest name available at the highest level to be their keynote speaker. Evan Bayh's appearance led to a full house in the hotel ballroom.

The senator gave a speech that could easily be adapted for campaign use.
Bayh is scheduled to be in Kentucky later on this year.

Jon Lovitz on CBS? I didn't read the article but he's a talented comedian.

I'll be back later.
