Based on exit polling, Kay Hagan (Democrat) has defeated Elizabeth Dole (Republican).
This means that, for the first time since 1952, there will not be a Bush or Dole serving in elective office either as a governor, senator, congressman, or president. If you remember, Prescott Bush was elected as a Congressman in 1952.
