The good news is that there were no injuries or damages due to the small magnitude.

The quake occurred on the New Madrid Fault.
The magnitude 2.9 quake, centered 3 miles northwest of Bardwell, was recorded at 5:47 p.m. CST Wednesday, according to the Center for Earthquake Research and Information in Memphis, Tenn.
