Yom Hazikaron

The Israeli Memorial Day, always observed on Iyar 4, is when we take the time to remember those who died during the War of Liberation and other wars in Israel, as well as all those innocent civilians who lost their lives to terrorists. At this time, I'd like to take a moment to pause and reflect on all those leaders who have helped to make Israel what it is today.

What follows are a series of prime ministers' final resting places along with that of Theodore Herzl, the founder of Modern Zionism. Everyone but Ben Gurion is buried at Mount Herzl in Yerushalayim. Ben Gurion was laid to rest in Midreshet Ben-Gurion in the Negev. Mt. Herzl is the equivalent of Arlington National Cemetary in the USA.
