Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman has twice in recent days said "no" when approached about the possibility of a major job in the second Bush administration, CNN has learned...The Connecticut senator was traveling and not immediately available for comment. His spokesman said the senator had not received a formal job offer and was not seeking a new job, but the spokesman said he could not comment on whether the senator has spoken to administration officials or emissaries about the possibility of joining the Republican administration.Thank you, Senator Lieberman, for not giving in to the pressure from the far-left that want you out of the Senate.
What members of the far-left do not realize is that Connecticut has a Republican governor. That would mean that the governor would appoint a republican to the seat (it was reported that Rep. Shays was not interested). By appointing a republican, the GOP increases their total to 56 seats. They would be 4 seats away from breaking any filibusters they have.
