Simon Rosenberg on Inside Politics

According to the NDN blog:
NDN President Simon Rosenberg will be a guest on CNN's Inside Politics with Judy Woodruff, tomorrow at 4:00 pm EDT. Simon will be addressing his potential candidacy for DNC Chair and discuss his strategy and vision for a stronger, more dynamic and effective 21st Century Democratic Party.
Simon is the obvious choice in my opinion.
In other news, it appears that Colin Powell will not run for office.
Asked about a poll that shows him favored in a hypothetical matchup for the governor's race, Powell said, "I'm not going to be running for office even in my beloved home state of New York, as flattering as that poll might be."
Eliot Spitzer is now unbeatable. We now have seen what the cabinet will look like for the second term. The AP reports that Jim Nicholson has been tapped as the next Secretary of Veteran's Affairs unlike John O'Neill as the Kentucky Democrat (myself) predicted yesterday. Nicholson is currently the Ambassador to the Vatican and former RNC Chairman. Bush has also asked Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta (the only Democrat in the cabinet), Interior Secretary Gale Norton, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson and Labor Secretary Elaine Chao (Kentucky US Senator Mitch McConnell's wife) to stay in their posts.
Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson was on the attack today according to Ruth Conniff's "The Word from Washington in The Progressive:?
One of Reid's colleagues, Senator Ben Nelson, Democrat of Nebraska, had this to say about the new minority leader, who is taking over from Karl Rove's drive-by victim Tom Daschle: "When the conservative talk show hosts start saying bad things about Harry Reid, it will be like attacking Mr. Rogers."
It is pretty sad that the Kerry campaign only paid Al Sharpton to campaign for him and did not compensate the other primary candidates. Evidently, Sharpton wanted to be paid for traveling and consulting fees.
In school news, I am set to go home on Tuesday for Winter Break as I am exempted from a final for having perfect attendence. Aren't incentives nice?
I keep getting asked if I am writing on behalf of the Kentucky Democratic Party. The answer to that is no. This is a personal blog although I do know several elected officials.
