It was not the day it was supposed to be for Zenyatta. Instead, the day went to Blame, the Kentucky thoroghbred bred and owned by Adele B Dilschneider and Claiborne Farm, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year.
On that note, it is very important that the Commonwealth of Kentucky is able to keep their horse farms in business. Unfortunately, Dictator David Williams does not agree. He'd rather the revenue continue to go out of state to Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, and in the next few years, Ohio.
We need the Kentucky State Senate to step up their game in the next session and finally pass an expanded gaming bill that will allow slots to be played at race tracks or free-standing casinos to keep Kentucky money in Kentucky. The money will allow the state to make progress.
