Update on Danforth

Political Wire is reporting that Danforth resigned as US Ambassador to the United Nations, according to the Washington Times, a Moon-owned paper(not credible in my opinion), ""because he did not win the nomination to become secretary of state."

I would prefer Amb./Sen. Danforth over Condi Rice any day of the week. He's a moderate republican and was shafted by the neo-cons taking over the GOP. Danforth has international experience by being the Ambassador to the United Nations. He was respected by the Republican establishment but he got the shaft. Supposedly, his wife his ill so I offer my thoughts and prayers.

Political Wire is also reporting the following about Rudy Guiliani:

A Republican official told the Washington Times that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) "was the first choice to replace" Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, "but that he declined the position and recommended Mr. Kerik."

Does anyone know how conservative Kerik is? I know he was a private guard in Saudi Arabia.
