Too many emails

I'm going to get through as many as possible before I get kicked off.

The Tennessee Volunteers (14-16) will be facing my Kentucky Wildcats (23-4) at tonight at 7:30 PM.

Why did Evan Bayh vote for the bankruptcy bill?
Republicans largely supported the bill. Democrats generally opposed it, although 18 voted “yes,” including Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind. Democrats who voted for the bill were generally among the top recipients of campaign donations from the businesses that lobbied for the bill: credit card, finance, commercial bank and credit union industries. In the past two years, for instance, Bayh received nearly $160,000 from those businesses.
Many people are swearing right now but they are grateful to Senator Lieberman who voted...against the bill?

To Jon Stewart, the blogosphere is behind you, I hope. I'm very sorry to hear that your wife, Tracy, was arrested.
Jon Stewart could be forgiven if he arrived a little late to yesterday's taping of The Daily Show. He was busy getting his wife, Tracey McShane, out of jail.

The normally wisecracking comic looked understandably anxious as he waited while his handcuffed sweetheart spent close to five hours being booked for driving with a suspended license.

McShane, 36, was driving through Central Park around 11 a.m. when she was pulled over for a moving violation, police confirmed to us.

Stewart's spokesman, Matt Labov, said: "She wasn't speeding. But the police discovered that she had a suspended license. She didn't even realize it. She paid a ticket last week. But apparently her check hadn't been processed."

Following procedure, cops impounded her car, cuffed her, loaded her into a squad car and took her to Central Booking.

There, police sources said, she was fingerprinted, posed for a mug shot and held while cops checked to see if there were any outstanding warrants for the arrest of the mother of 8-month-old Nathan Stewart.

A squad car eventually took her back to the Central Park station, where her husband, 42, was waiting for her.

Police said she was issued a desk appearance ticket.

McShane, a veterinary technician who shies from the spotlight, smiled as she was photographed during her perp walk - as though she half-expected Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry to pop out with a mike.

Labov said, "She's out, and she's fine. Jon said the cops were very nice and professional."
If you have a suspended license, just sit in the passenger's seat. Speaking of which, last night's Daily Show drew in 1.8 million viewers.

Evan Bayh is against unfair trade. As am I.
The Stopping Overseas Subsidies Act, more pithily referred to as the SOS Act, would allow the United States to enforce anti-subsidy laws against nonmarket economies such as China.

Subsidies take many forms. In simplest terms, they are federal grants that benefit a domestic manufacturer. Some examples would include government loans that are not expected to be repaid or free energy supplies.
When's he going on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart?

KAPT Update:
The loss of about $13.7 million will not affect the 150 students currently attending college through the program, said Kentucky Treasurer Jonathan Miller.

However, he said the real threat is to the 9,000 families currently registered in the program. If the state continues to remove funds from the programs base, then there is a possibility that the program might not be able to pay when the time comes, Miller said.
Anyone else hope Jonathan runs for Governor?

Entertainment update will take place after the rerun of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart today.
