Mazel Tov, Alan Stein

Mazel Tov to Alan Stein for being inducted to the 2005 Lexington Legends Hall of Fame class.
The Lexington Legends revealed their inaugural Hall of Fame Class on Wednesday. Eubank, Kentucky native Josh Anderson leads the way after his stellar 2004 season. Alan Stein joins John Buck, Jon Topolski and Charley Taylor, key elements in the Legends 2001 SAL Championship drive, in the first class.

The five members along with a sixth member of the class selected by the fans will be honored in a ring of fame during a ceremony on Hall of Fame night, June 4. The online balloting will begin Wednesday, April 6th.

Stein was the surprise member of the class. At the end of the event, Legends General Manager Kevin Kulp caught Stein off guard by adding him to the first class. The Lexington native was the driving force behind baseball returning to the Bluegrass. Stein spent 17 years in his quest to bring baseball back to Lexington.
While I am at it, Last Sane Man takes a look at Representative Kathy Stein.

The Steins are family friends.
