More news for you

Well, it's news to me.

I've got some of the scoop on Stick It, a new Disney comedy. Okay, so I actually read it online.
[Jeff] Bridges will star as a gymnastics coach who has to deal with a talented teenager who dislikes the sport's regimented world. Life as We Know It star Missy Peregrym will play the gymnast, with American Dreams Vanessa Lengies co-starring as Peregrym’s rival.
That seems to be the only thing of the Google alerts that stood out.

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford will NOT run for President in 2008.
Sanford, one of several governors mentioned as a potential national candidate in 2008, was asked if there might be a presidential campaign in his future.

"Absolutely not," he quickly replied. "I'm trying to survive the week."
Call off the hounds. Britney Spears will launch a reality television series to show that there is no marital problems. What was not said was how the stench would come across on the tv sets.

Ian McKellan fears that he will be snubbed in a spin-off about Magneto. Of course, he can forget that if he signs up for the new Superman.

Speaking of the X-Men, Famke Janssen will be back in X-Men 3.
Even though her X-Men alter ego, Jean Grey, bit the dust in the last film, Famke Janssen has inked a deal to return for X-Men 3. According to Variety, the Nip/Tuck gender-bender will evolve into Phoenix, a character who may or may not be hiding a secret betwixt her legs.
Steve Spurrier has a new policy.
Spurrier said he no longer will sign autographs after his team’s open practices, preferring to wait until the spring Gamecock Club meetings to work on his John Hancock.

"I have not been around everybody (that) wants autographs like here," Spurrier said Monday. "I don’t know what it is. I think coach (Lou) Holtz probably closed practice, so he didn’t have to sign autographs. I like practices to be open, but, hopefully, people realize we just can’t do that every practice."

Spurrier said he would sign one poster schedule per person at Gamecock Club meetings. "Hopefully, one guy doesn’t want 10," he said.
Jimmy Fallon is an actual Yankees fan.

Also, it was reported that: "Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment will release The Daily Show with Jon Stewart: Indecision 2004 on DVD Tuesday, June 28, 2005."

Evidently, Robin Williams ran over the Taco Bell Dog and that went unreported in the news.
