The Pew Report: Deaniacs

What left-of-center blogger wouldn't post about this?!?

Rick posts at Centerfield on the subject. Rick writes:
67% of Dean activists want the Democrats to move to the left, and only 13% to move toward the center. My recommendation is that Dean activists read this report, and reflect on how special they are, and how their values and instincts differ from the general public. Granting for the sake of argument that they are "right," it's clear that they have to figure out some way to bring the rest of the public along with them.
It is clear that mainstream America is in the center. I don't want my party being dragged to the far left when we should stay in the centrist area. It's the only chance we have to win. Going further left doesn't help, it hurts!

The Pew Center has released their findings on the Deaniacs in a survey titled: "The Dean Activists: Their Profile and Prospects." Of course, the Washington Post has to look into the findings.

Da Bull Moose has put his two cents in. Let's not forget Blogging for Bayh. Also, Joe Gandelman at the Moderate Voice leaves his two cents. Greg Wythe chimes in as well.
