Adam Edelen files for State Auditor

Adam Edelen has filed for the position of State Auditor as current auditor, Crit Luallen, is term-limited.
Edelen, 35, of Lexington, is a Democrat who served as state Homeland Security director and later as chief of staff for Gov. Steve Beshear. He resigned as chief of staff Sept. 15.

A news release from his campaign says Edelen is now working as a business management consultant.[...]

Also Friday, Democrat B.D. Wilson of Frankfort registered with campaign finance officials to begin a 2011 campaign for state agriculture commissioner.

Wilson is a former judge-executive of Montgomery County who recently resigned as commissioner of rural and municipal aid in the Beshear administration's Transportation Cabinet.
