Fletcher in an hour

I passed on the Natalie Portman movie to see what Fletcher has to say...and wondering how many people I know will be there.

Comedy Central will finance the Daily Show:
The move sees production of The Daily Show go out to Busboy Productions, as does its exec producer Ben Karlin, who will head up Busboy alongside Stewart. Richard Korson will oversee development with Chris McShane, working with him to identify talent and projects to develop.

"Jon Stewart is the preeminent voice in comedy today," said Doug Herzog, president of Comedy Central. "As evidenced by the incredible success of America (The Book), Jon and Ben have much more than a nightly TV show's worth of comedy in them."

Stewart has been hosting The Daily Show since January 1999, with Karlin joining later that year as head writer. During which its six years on Comedy, the show has garnered 11 Emmy nominations, winning five, including the last two Emmys for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.
I offer a hearty Mazel Tov!

College Republican Alan Teitleman has issued a challenge to the North Carolina Republican Party.
If Conservatives ever hope to have a voice in North Carolina politics the options are clear: 1) create a new party, similar to the constitution party which is active in Pennsylvania or 2) take over the Republican party and make it stand for the principles that it purportedly represents. Option 1 is unrealistic due to the vast amount of money it would take to create a viable third party, even on a statewide level. Option 2 although obvious hasn’t occurred yet. In my humble opinion, it’s about time that it does.
That wasn't all. It gets interesting here:
It is a sad state of affairs for Conservatives in North Carolina. What used to be a conservative state is now rampant with liberals posing as Republicans. Although I have only lived in North Carolina for five years, I have seen a lot of changes in North Carolina politics during that time.

I saw the chairman of a county Democratic party switch party affiliation and become elected to the Stallings town council as a Republican. I saw the Democratic party actively recruit Democrats to switch parties and run in Republican primaries. I even saw the North Carolina Republican party turn its back on Republicans (and conservatives) when they needed them the most.
I'll be seeing the Governor within the hour and will report back as necessary.
