Goodbye, Dan Rather

Dan Rather will be missed after he steps down tonight. The way he is going down is not right, rather it is unjust. He got the blame for something he didn't do. Broadcast journalism is not the investigative journalism it used to be.

I do not hate Dan Rather even though I prefer Tom Brokaw over all of them. Even though I am a fan of Jon Stewart, he is not a journalist nor a pundit, rather (pardon the pun) he is a comedian. He is influencing pop culture through satire and political comedy.

Dan Rather is a legend in his own right but I think I speak for everyone when I say that Walter Cronkite is the king of the 6:30 evening news.

Until CBS decides who they want, you'll be seeing Bob Schieffer at 6:30.
