Mark Bechtel's blog:
1. Norm. You either got him or you didn't.
2. Jane Curtin. Whether alone or with Dan Aykroyd ("Jane, you ignorant slut") or Bill Murray, she could bounce from a serious, wry delivery into something absurd without missing a beat. Just a funny, funny lady.
3. Dennis Miller. How the mighty have fallen. Unwatchable now, fantastic when he was a bemullted smart ass on SNL.
4. Chevy Chase. A bit before my time. What I remember and have seen in clips: funny, but a bit too goofy.
5. Tina Fey. Having the very funny Amy Poehler as a sidekick is a bit redundant, but anything's better than Jimmy Fallon. If everyone laughed as hard at Fallon and Horatio Sanz as Fallon and Sanz do, they'd be the world's most beloved comics.
I have to put Dan and Jane at #1 though. Followed by Chevy Chase, then Norm, then Tina and Jimmy, then Tina and Amy, Colin Quinn and last but not least Dennis Miller.
