Sonja De Vries is the schmuck of the week for her op-ed in this past Sunday's Courier-Journal Forum section.
Castro was a dictator and dictators don't have two party elections. She writes that "he declined to accept re-election a Cuba's president." Even if he did, the power would still be in the Castro family so it's not like there would be actual change.
If Cuba loves him so much as she says he does, why do so many Cubans move to Miami?!?
Her article is anti-American, in my opinion. Go to Cuba. Castro will welcome you with an open arm. The Cuban government is the oppressor, not America.
