State GOP Leaders think that Trey Grayson is a star on the rise says the
Kentucky Post. He introduced himself to me at Freshfusion while I was wearing my John Kerry for President shirt. I was impressed with that. He was also a former Democrat as well and could very well be the only Republican I'd be willing to vote for.
Others point to Grayson's ability to work well with both Democrats and Republicans as a key attribute in becoming a state leader. Grayson has worked on college initiatives with Treasurer Jonathan Miller, who is a Democrat.
"Being secretary is like being state treasurer," Miller said. "We aren't involved in a lot of partisan issues. We can only be successful when we work in a bipartisan way."
Portman's Venetta. IGN reports that Natalie Portman is being considered for a role in
V for Vendetta.
DC-on-Film reports a rumor that Natalie Portman (the Star Wars prequels) is up for a role in the big-screen version of V for Vendetta. The site claims that "Portman has done a deal" for the movie, which was adapted from the Alan Moore/David Lloyd graphic novel by the Wachowski brothers. Joel Silver will produce it.
What lends the rumor some credence is the fact that V for Vendetta will be directed by James McTeigue, who previously worked as the first assistant director on Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Obviously, that film co-stars Portman so she and McTeigue already know each other.
The role in V for Vendetta that Portman seems most likely to play is that of teenager Evey Hammond.
I saw
Fat Albert and highly recommend it.
