Bat Cats win with walk-off home run in 12th inning

The University of Kentucky Bat Cats knocked off the Louisville Cardinals in the bottom of the 12th inning with a walk-off home run by Keenan Wiley. The final score from Cliff hagan Stadium was 7-6. To give you an idea of how long it was, it started at 6:30 PM and finished at nearly 11:00 PM.

Recap from the Herald-Leader:
It had all of the elements of any good rivalry game.

Extra innings.

A school-record crowd of 4,009 on hand.

A coach tossed.

And a game-winning hero.
Joe Crawford threw out the first pitch. It was a strike in the bottom lower corner on strike zone.

Coach Billy Gillispie was in attendence although there is no telling as to when he left the game.

As far as rivalry games go, this ending is up there with the 2007 football game on September 15, 2007 where Andre Woodson through a 57-yard touchdown pass to wide reciever Steve Johnson, and the 2004-05 basketball game on December 18, 2004 with Patrick Sparks being fouled while he attempted a three point shot.
