Al Franken for Senate 2006?

Al Franken is expected to announce whether or not he will be running for Senate in Minnesota next year. Not to be outdone, Kinky Friedman has already announced he is running for Governor of Texas.
Franken, a Minnesota native, plans to make an announcement live on his national radio show in Washington D.C. this morning. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will be in the studio with Franken for that announcement.
Things are not looking well for Matt LeBlanc's Joey. It's "almost certain" that it will be back in the fall. NBC, either it's certain or not certain...it cannot be almost certain. That's like me saying it's almost certain that we will have a Democratic governor in 2007 unless Greg Stumbo is our nominee.
Joey suffers from the Seinfeld syndrome. LeBlanc is a good actor who was part of a great ensemble cast. The trouble is, none of the parts is as good as the whole. Ask former Seinfeld cast members, who have all been shot down in their quest to re-create their former successes. (Jason Alexander is still struggling in his current attempt, Listen Up on CBS.)
George Stephanopoulos turns 44 today. Just six more years...

Britney Spears' marriage is on the rocks again. She should have learned the first time. It don't come easy.

Bill Cosby is caught in the limelight again with another sex scandal? His first name is Bill and last name begins with a C. That explains why everyone on the news is calling him Bill Clinton? I don't know Bill Clinton but Mr. Cosby, you are no Bill Clinton! (Props to former Senator Lloyd Bentsen)

Charlize Theron expects to stay a while in Hollywood. After telling Jennifer Garner to do the same, she told the Simpson sisters: shove it!

Jon Stewart's March 4th appearance at Cornell University sold out. Tickets are still on sell for Ashlee Simpson in Louisville for a pathetic performance 6-8 days later.

Rob Corddry performs at 8 PM tonight at Iowa State University's Stephens Auditorium. This is what the cast does when the show is on reruns--make more money doing stand-up comedy. I missed Darrell Hammond last year at Bradley to watch the American and National League Championship series. I missed Black Eyed Peas because I no longer go there. I might go back to do a stand-up show.
