DNC Update

Sources say that Simon Rosenberg is being offered the #2 post at the DNC by Gov. Dean. BOR has been saying that Roemer and Rosenberg are out. Even Donnie Fowler is reporting that they have dropped out. [UPDATE]: Simon has not dropped out!

Donnie Fowler is my second choice next to Simon because I think the Kentucky ties can help us with regards to the DNC. The Clintons are trying to find someone at the last minute.

Bob Scieffer is set to fill in for Dan Rather when he steps down. John Roberts is still in the running. Jon Stewart does not appear to be in the running.
The network would not comment Tuesday. Evening News is languishing deep in third place behind ABC's World News Tonight and top-rated NBC Nightly News.

Schieffer has hosted CBS' Face the Nation since 1991, which beats ABC's This Week and places second to NBC's Meet the Press Sundays. Last week, Face the Nation beat Meet the Press among adults ages 35 to 54, a relatively young news audience and a plus for Schieffer.
I've got lunch and then a test later today.
