When we weren't sure whether Jack Conway would run, Dan's name was one of the first I heard in comments left here and over at Bluegrass Report.
Thanks to Dr. Ted, I had the chance to meet Dan at the press conference in August when Senator Evan Bayh was in town. He is a very nice guy and I think he would make a superb candidate for Congress--and would be the youngest member if elected--but hey, so was Henry Clay! He's 29 and according to comments that Jason French left at the Bridge, he is a worker's comp attorney.
Dan ran for Metro Council in 2004 against 2 well-known former aldermen. Though many naysayers said he wouldn't get 5% of the vote, he got 25% in a 4 way race. He didn't win, but he demonstrated his raw political potential and his tremendous work ethic.Currently, Borsch serves as the president of the Louisville-Jefferson County Young Democrats.
I second every comment that Dr. Ted and Jason French have said. I look forward to working with Dan Borsch should he run.
To those in KY-3, if you hear anything, please let me know!
