Last Laugh 2005

I was up til almost 1 last night watching Comedy Central's Last Laugh. It was hilarious! Most of it was "social commentary" on some of the events of the past year. You couldn't have such a show without Lewis Black, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, David Cross, or the controversial Sarah Silverman. I might as will issue a disclaimer right now that if you don't like a Jewish comedian like Sarah Silverman singing "Amazing Grace," then the show is not for you. All in all, I was laughing all night long. I watched the encore presentation since I had other shows to watch at 10 PM.

Former Senator Tom Daschle had some strong words recently for his former colleague Senator John F. Kerry.
Former Senator Tom Daschle says he was frustrated that the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, Senator John Kerry, didn't campaign in some Republican states, such as South Dakota.

The Kerry campaign devoted few resources to some heavily Republican states during the campaign. Daschle, who lost by two percentage points to Republican John Thune, says neglecting those states had huge implications on lower-ballot races like his.
Senator Evan Bayh is expected to visit Tampa Bay sometime soon for a fundraiser.
Next month, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh is expected to hit Tampa Bay to add to the roughly $10-million he's already reeled in for his prospective presidential campaign.
I don't think anyone has noticed but Ben Chandler is the first Congressional incumbent to file for re-election.
Central Kentucky's Congressman Ben Chandler, a Versailles Democrat, will vie for a second full term. So far, the only other congressional candidate to file with the Secretary of State's office has been Democrat Tom Barlow in Western Kentucky's 1st District, which currently is represented by Republican Rep. Ed Whitfield.

Candidates have until Jan. 31 to submit official paperwork. Congressional, state legislative and judicial candidates file with the Secretary of State, while local candidates turn in election papers to their respective county clerk.
The May primary will take place on the 16th.

The St. Louis Cardinals did pick up Ricardo Rincon. I don't know much about him.

Today is Joe Lieberman Appreciation Day! New Donkey pays tribute to the late Richard Pryor.
