Yarmuth names Julie Carr as Chief of Staff

It was rumored that Carolyn Tandy was going to be named as the Chief of Staff in the Washington office. That rumor is now untrue as the Courier-Journal reported that Julie Carr will be the Chief of Staff in Rep.-elect John Yarmuth's DC office.
U.S. Rep.-elect John Yarmuth has hired Julie Carr, a Louisville native with more than a decade of experience on Capitol Hill, to be his chief of staff.

For the past two years, Carr, 35, has been chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Louise Slaughter, a Kentucky native and veteran Democratic congresswoman from upstate New York.[...]

Yarmuth said he has not yet selected a district director for his Louisville office.

He said he also has hired campaign staff workers Keidra King and Stuart Perelmuter to work in his Washington office and Ben Basil and Antonia Lindauer to work in the district. Lindauer is the daughter of Democrat Tony Lindauer, who won his race on Nov. 7 for Jefferson County property valuation administrator.

Carr, who grew up in South Louisville near Iroquois Park, attended Holy Rosary Academy and graduated in 1995 from the University of Louisville with bachelor's degrees in political science and fine arts.
