Texas: Bob Gammage for Governor?

Move over, Chris Bell, you've got company! Burnt Orange Report has informed us that Bob Gammage may be a candidate for governor in 2006. The filing deadline is less than a few months a way.

Here's some info on his background:
Long-time Wesley Clark stalwart Bob Gammage, former Texas state representative, state senator, U.S. congressman, and judge on the State Court of Appeals and Texas Supreme Court, is contemplating a run for Governor of Texas.[...]

But talk about a resume, and if you read the comments from the other linked posts, you will start to get a sense of who Bob Gammage is- a guy who still has a network of old school Democrats but is committed to the concept of grassroots organizing.
You can read more over there including a personal message from Bob Gammage himself as to why he might run for governor in 2006. I don't think I've endorsed Chris Bell for Governor yet but this Gammage guy seems to be an interesting character. He was instrumental in Draft Clark in 2003-2004.
